This week’s post is so so special. A year ago my cousin and her husband began their adoption journey. They surprised the extended family this past fall and announced they would be expecting a baby boy!! Their journey would take them to Utah and sweet Nicholas was born October 29, 2018.
Our family wanted to shower Mom, Dad and baby, but we were not able to do so until they returned home to Pittsburgh and the new parents made it through the holiday season. A Sip & See was the perfect way for family and friends to celebrate the new blessing and get to meet and visit with Nicholas.
The party was held at the Treesdale Country Club in the Grille Room which offered an intimate setting. Guests were encouraged to take photos in front of a photo booth and to leave a finger print on the guest book which was framed to be hung in the nursery.
Guests enjoyed a made to order pasta bar and small plates. The delicious lunch was followed by an impressive dessert table including a sweet cake made by Moio's Italian Bakery and fondue with a range of options from fresh fruit to pound cake! Of course what Pittsburgh party is complete without a cookie table?!
We had a great afternoon celebrating the perfect addition to our family. Congratulations to my cousin and her beautiful family!
