Welcome Friends!

Updated: Nov 13, 2018

Hi! I am so glad you are here. I want to start by introducing myself - My name is Julie Sullivan and I am the Owner/Planner at Julie Renee Events.

I have dreamed of pursuing a career in wedding planning for several years now. During that time I have planned and assisted in many different types of parties, showers and weddings including my own! I love helping people find the perfect vendor or a fun and creative detail to add to their wedding plans. I get a little jolt of excitement when the topic of weddings comes up among friends. I would say that while I knew I enjoyed planning prior to my own wedding, I really got the bug after planning my May 2017 wedding.

So many brides dread wedding planning but that was not me at all. I could not wait to get started and spent hours researching and perfecting my wedding Excel spreadsheet. Slowly the items were ticked off the list and our wedding day got closer. I enlisted the help of a cousin that I trusted would execute every detail as if I was doing it myself. That day I could not do it myself of course because of all our appointments and a fairly strict timeline. Family and friends gathered the morning of our wedding for set up and to decorate our entire venue. We were so fortunate that so many wanted to help us and that my sweet cousin was willing to coordinate things during the reception. However, if I could do it again, I would absolutely hire a day of coordinator at minimum. I did not want to burden a guest with all that responsibility!

That's where I come in. Weddings can absolutely be stressful and overwhelming but with the right team behind you there is nothing to worry about. Whether you hate planning or just need a little extra help figuring all this stuff out - I want to help you get it all right and not lose your mind in the process!

I never thought I would write in a blog - like ever - but here I am! I hope to share some great inspiration as well as photos of my current work. And I hope I get the opportunity to work with you!

XO,

Julie
